What do you do at presentations?
We bring 10-14 live reptiles to each presentation. The reptiles are transported securely in plastic bins. We take out one reptile at a time and handle it while we talk about it. We give you some interesting information about the reptile then implement some interaction time (volunteers, handling, touching, etc.). Once that reptile has been safely and securely put away a new reptile will come be brought out. Our presentations generally take about an hour.
We arrive at your venue around 10 minutes prior to your event time so we can set up. Your presentation will start at the time you booked for and last approximately 1 hour in length. After the presentation is over our staff will pack up the reptiles and say goodbye leaving you and your guests to the remainder of your event. It is important that we start on time as we usually have many presentations booked on the same day. We do leave extra travel time for our presenters but this is used to allow them to have a break and avoid delays such as traffic delays.
How far in advance do I need to book a presentation?
We have busy times and slow times throughout the year. If you are looking for a weekend event with a specific time we recommend 3 months in advance. Anything less will generally be booked around other people’s event times. Please always call us even if its short notice….we will work diligently and attempt to accommodate you.
Can the presentation be outside?
We love being outside but that is secondary as our reptile’s health is our greatest concern. We need nice weather… not too cold, and not too hot. Please plan your event both ways and when our staff arrive they will work with you to find a suitable location for everyone.
How do I book a presentation?
You can book your event by emailing us at email@example.com. When you email please provide the following information:
date & time of your booking request
the location of your event
the number of guests
the age range of your guests
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a booking?
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking please do so as soon as possible. Please understand that our staff is dedicated to providing you with an enjoyable experience. We will work with you to re-book your presentation when necessary.
Does your company carry insurance?
Yes, we carry a 2 million dollar liability insurance policy and have been in business for over 15 years. This is an absolute must for any organization bringing live reptiles into a public situation.
Are your presentations safe?
Our presentations are extremely safe and all of our staff are very well trained. We like to be as interactive as possible. We are clear with rules at the beginning of the presentation and if the rules we lay out are being ignored, we can’t be as interactive as we would like to be. Safety for you and your guests as well as for our reptiles is our primary concern.
Will there be any messes associated with the show?
Not generally. Sometimes accidents happen with reptiles that can be quickly cleaned up. Also, sometimes very small amounts of wood chips or dirt from the animal’s bins fall out onto the floor. If you are concerned please feel free to put a blanket on the floor and we will stay on top of it while we are doing the presentation.
